The Bollywood filmmaker Satish Kaushik who is known for his movies like Chal Mere Bhai, Rajaji and Aa Ab Laut Chalen among others is all set to remake Pithamagan in Hindi.
Directed by Bala, Pithamagan is based on Jayakanthan’s ‘Nandha vanthil oru aandi’.
The 2003 cult classic starred Suriya and Vikram in the lead roles while Laila and Sangeetha played the female lead. The movie went on to bag many awards and is a turning point in both Suriya, Vikram’s career.
Interestingly, Satish Kaushik directed Salman Khan-starrer Tere Naam which is the Hindi remake of Bala’s Tamil film, Sethu.
The filmmaker also quoted that he would like to see Salman Khan play the role of Vikram in this movie as well.
