Rs.1000 as a Pongal Gift from Tamil Nadu Government

It seems that this election has some different strategy to get some votes. I’m not offending anyone but according to what I have been seeing movies and other stuff it looks just like the same. So, let see how this time election will turn out.

Moving further according to The Hindu, it is said, “Taking populism to the next level in an election year, the AIADMK government on Wednesday announced that over two crore families with ration cards in the State would each get Rs. 1,000 in cash as a Pongal gift. This will cost the exchequer Rs. 2, 000 crore. Already over 1.84 crore ration card holders get free rice.”

Before it was done illegally or wrong way during the election time, parties used to bribe the public for their vote by offering goodies and other items, to go even further they sometimes offer cash which is not the correct way to ask for votes but, using a festival as a reason is something brilliant, I would say.

Anyways, I guess nothing will affect the decision of the public on whom they want to vote. Like how parties play with the public by lots of fake promises, the public will/might also do the same.

Personally, I’m not good at politics or anything related to it. So, it is just a perspective of the common man. Still Happy Pongal in Advance.
